SportStake 13 Predictions and Tips
Next SportStake 13 (MatchPlay 13) list
No list is open right now. The National Lottery publishes a new list twice a week: on Sunday for the midweek games and on Thursday for the weekend games. This page picks it up within a few hours of publication.
How good is the market pick? Measured on 12 settled lists
Across the last 12 SportStake 13 lists, 71 of 156 games had a market price. The market favourite won 38 of those 71 (54%). On the 4 lists where every game was priced, it got 4, 5, 7, 10 of 13 right. 23% of settled games on these lists were draws.

Prices from football-data.co.uk's average of bookmakers before kick-off; results as settled by the National Lottery. A game counts only when both sources agree on the final result. Midweek lists lean on European cup ties, women's football and leagues the price source does not cover, which is why so few of their games are priced.
These SportStake 13 predictions are not a tipster's hunch. For every game on the current list that bookmakers price, we show the chance the betting market gives a home win, a draw and an away win, and the market's pick, which is simply the most likely of the three.
Then we show how good that is. Below the list is the market pick's measured record on recent settled lists, and every pick we have published, graded against the real result. No prediction method removes the risk: on some lists the market favourite gets most of the 13 right, on others fewer than half.
How to use the market view on a coupon
Getting all 13 right is rare, so most players cover the games they are least sure of. With Multi-Play you can mark two outcomes on a game, which doubles the number of combinations. Three games covered that way make 8 combinations, which costs R16 instead of R2 for one entry. The market view helps you choose which games to cover: the ones where no outcome is much more likely than the others.
Draws are where many coupons fail. On recent lists roughly one game in five ended level. Covering one or two of the closest games with a draw as a second choice is a common way to allow for that.
Why some games have no price
Our prices come from the average of bookmakers' odds, and the source covers the main European leagues. Midweek lists often use European cup ties, women's football and smaller leagues it does not price. We leave those games without a pick rather than guess.
Frequently asked questions
Where do these SportStake 13 predictions come from?+
From the betting market: the average bookmaker price for each game, with the bookmakers' margin removed, from football-data.co.uk. We add nothing to it, and we publish how often it has been right.
How accurate are SportStake 13 predictions?+
We measure it. The record on recent settled lists is shown on this page, and every pick we publish is graded after the round. Even on lists where every game had a price, the number the market favourite got right has varied a lot from one list to the next.
What is the best SportStake 13 strategy?+
There is no way to guarantee a win. The practical approach is to take the market view where it is strong, cover the closest games with a second outcome using Multi-Play, and set a budget before you play.
