What do 1, 2 and 3 mean in Soccer 10 results?
TAB soccer pools use their own numbering: 1 means Team A (the team listed first) wins, 2 means a draw, and 3 means Team B wins. This is easy to mix up, because many other coupons and lottery sports pools use 1, X and 2, where 2 means an away win. If you are reading a TAB ticket, 2 is always the draw.
How Soccer 10 works
Soccer 10 is a TAB tote pool on ten matches, numbered M1 to M10. For each match you pick one of three results: 1 for a Team A win, 2 for a draw or 3 for a Team B win. Everyone's stakes go into one pool, and after deductions the net pool is shared among the winning tickets. That means the payout is not known in advance: it depends on how much was bet and how many people got it right.
A single entry, one choice per match, costs R2. You can also pick more than one result in some matches. Each extra choice multiplies the number of combinations, and every combination costs R2. For example, three choices in M1, two in M2 and one in each of the other eight matches is 3 x 2 = 6 combinations, so R12. A match result is the score at the end of the normal 90 minutes plus any injury time. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not count.

What happens when a Soccer 10 match is not played?
Under TAB's rules, any match in a Soccer 10 pool that is not completed by 9am on the day after the last scheduled match day is treated as abandoned, and every choice counts as correct for that leg. That is what "All" means in the winning combination above, and why the score for that leg shows as not completed.

When are Soccer 10 results and payouts declared?+
TAB declares official payouts once it has the official results of every match in the pool, which is normally the day after the last match. We check for new results several times a day and publish each round once all ten results agree with TAB's own declared combination.
Why are there several Soccer 10 results for the same day?+
TAB runs more than one Soccer 10 pool on many days, each on a different set of ten matches. They are told apart by the pool label (such as V1, V2 or V3) and a three-letter program code. Match the date, label and code on your ticket to the right round before you check your choices.
Does 2 mean an away win in Soccer 10?+
No. In TAB soccer pools 1 is a Team A win, 2 is a draw and 3 is a Team B win. The 1, X and 2 system, where 2 is the away win, belongs to other coupons and to the National Lottery's MatchPlay game, not to TAB pools.
Do I win anything with nine correct?+
Yes. Twenty percent of each Soccer 10 pool is set aside for tickets with any nine of the ten results correct, and the other 80% goes to tickets with all ten correct. If nobody gets nine right, that 20% is carried forward to a later Soccer 10 pool.
